The eighth edition of Mechelen’s Contour Biennale (spring 2017), ‘Polyphonic Worlds, Justice as Medium’ exhibited contemporary art against the backdrop of the 400 years of history of the Great Council of Mechelen. The makers were inspired by polyphony and, along with a group of artists, they came to immerse themselves in the world of polyphonic music in Alamire’s manuscripts at the House of Polyphony. The facsimile of the Mechelen Choirbook was loaned to the Biennale for the exhibition. It was exhibited at the Schepenhuis Museum in Mechelen from 11 March to 21 May 2017.
