Day of Polyphony © Klara, VRT
As part of the ‘Day of Polyphony’ on Sunday, 22 February, Klara presenters Mark Janssens and Nicole Van Opstal dedicated a radio broadcast of seven hours to the polyphonic music of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, live from the House of Polyphony.
Through in-depth interviews and live performances by four ensembles and two solo musicians, a spotlight shone on the Alamire Foundation's research and valorization projects: from picture motets from the Low Countries and lute music printed by Phalesius, to chansons from the Leuven Chansonnier and the Antwerp songbook.
