Park Abbey, one of the best preserved abbey sites in Western Europe, is the central theme of Leuven's Open Monument Day 2022 in combination with the European OMD theme of sustainability. The special day is taking place both at the abbey site and in the city of Leuven–a logical combination, since the Norbertine order of Park Abbey was also emphatically present in the university town. On offer is a broad and fascinating programme including guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, free visits, and (city) walks. A number of university buildings will also open their doors.
