The Alamire Foundation receives structural support from the Flemish Government’s Department of Work, Economy, Science, Innovation and Social Economy (WEWIS) for its pioneering, technology-driven research into the musical heritage of the Low Countries.

The visit highlighted the expertise, ongoing initiatives and future ambitions of the Alamire Foundation’s research and innovation activities, including those of the Alamire Sound Labs and the Alamire Digital Lab. It offered the Minister-President an inspiring opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover how we continuously seek new perspectives from which to study plainchant and Franco-Flemish polyphony, while making this rich musical heritage accessible to a wider audience.
