The Alamire Foundation and Brussels Airlines are joining forces to promote the magnificent musical heritage of the Low Countries internationally–and up in the air.

The aim is to make centuries-old Franco-Flemish polyphony as well-known as the paintings from the same period, such as the work of Jan Van Eyck and Hans Memling. Starting in  December 2023, Alamire Foundation audiovisual productions (documentaries and docu-concerts) will be available on all Brussels Airlines intercontinental flights via the Inflight Entertainment Program.

During their flight, passengers will be able to watch these alamire.tv documentaries, gaining insights into such subjects as the work of Renaissance music calligrapher Petrus Alamire, the recently discovered Leuven Chansonnier, Margaret of Austria's unique dance booklet written in gold and silver, a canon printed on a linen tablecloth as a gift for Mary of Hungary, and docu-concerts featuring the exquisite polyphonic masses of Franco-Flemish composer Josquin des Prez.
